Tuesday Attitude: What's in your tank?

"...the manner in which one endures what must be endured is more important than the thing that must be endured."
-Dean Acheson

There's always more in the tank!

CK is ABLE to getupandmove and grind some serious trails because of the hours in the gym. How do you use your CF conditioning outside of class?

Matt D. Awesome video!! Now here is a subject I could talk at length about...obviously mt biking is a great example of where the CF training has helped me. In areas like, balance, endurance, strength, and especially recovery. Mt biking is an extreme example of interval training, periods of high-intensity followed by recovery, especially at a place like Blue Marsh, where you climb, recover and repeat!! Another place it has helped me greatly is in backpacking, obviously strong legs, shoulders and back muscles help, but even more important are strong abs, which allow you to keep the weight off your back, and carry it in your hips. Strong abs are also really important in mt biking too, you may not be aware of it, but you can't be a good climber without strong abs! I have noticed a huge difference there as my abs get stronger. There are just so many ways it has helped me, and one other area that may be the most important, is building that mental toughness to not quit or give in, just keep pushing on......!!

Helps me when I'm chasing down criminals in the city. Good example of pacing youself and always having the little "extra" in the tank.
