Wednesday Form: Oh, that Land!

Where technique meets speed, the land of Results. That's sort of been the theme we've been mentioning recently. Folks getting out of the comfort zone of the same pace, same intensity, same weight day-after-day. Going to a new land (even though it hurts). Look around and you're seeing more full work whistle-to-whistle, higher reps, sprinting rather than jogging the hill or 400m, moving up a weight in presses and KBs...going harder. The circuit or round can't do it, Bldg 7 can't do it...it starts with a risk. Of course, harder means more fatigue. At CF, remember, that fatigue is a badge of honor! At the end of the circuit or round, wear it proudly!
Technique + Speed = More Work = Results

Pain is necessary for growth, it should not be avoided, it reminds us that we are pushing thru pre-conceived boundries, that what we know we can do is not what we should be striving for; but to press on past, do not turn back, do not yield, the Universe will conspire to help us if we take the first step, and the only thing that can stop us is what is inside us. Face the challenge and you face the fear. And I have truly been reminded lately, in many ways, there is truly no growth in life without some suffering. Don't negotiate with obstacles, press on, over, under, around, or thru, do whatever it takes...

Yes! Proper technique creates a stronger body, which creates a more efficient machine! Intensity is more attainable when you're strong & efficient, but it's not necessarily a given. You have to really think about what you're doing or what you're after and step-up to the plate to make it happen.

P.S. Proper technique will also workout your imbalances (which inhibits speed) - but this might be a 'which came first: the chicken or the egg?' issue.
P.P.S. I am in for the Dry Run TM - who else is?
