Exactly the point..."Anyone what???" Anyone have an update? Anyone know if Karate Steve returned safely from Camp Conrad Weiser? Anyone ever do consecutive Burpees to the point of tasting blood...at work??! Anyone confirm James' contention that aliens made the Pyramids? Anyone looking for a CF Challenge team?
Last time CFers were asked to contribute updates about the goings-on in CF life, we received these 2 only: 1) Mike L. took his car to the shop today. 2) Scout & George had their nails clipped.
CFers are fascinating people leading fascinating lives!:)
Tennis Karen reporting that I actually did practice "kipping" yesterday for about 2 minutes...and Mike L can vouch for me : ) I was not very successful but will keep trying....know of any bars that I can hang from (not hang out at) to practice since I can't always be at CF - or be there early?
I am planning a North Rim to South Rim backpacking trip of the Grand Canyon for Mayish or Juneish 2010, probably 3-5 days with a nights stay at Phantom Ranch on the Colorado River...Maybe head down to Flag for a day and then Sedona...Anyone interested??? It's about an 8,000 vertical feet drop from the North Rim and about a 7,200 vertical feet climb to the South Rim. Strong legs, strong core, strong back and lungs required, sounds like CF'ers fit the bill to me......
kipping pull-ups use this rhythm . . . front , back , get your swing going front, back then add the pull . . .front back pull then front- back -pull and add the push away at the top If that makes sense? just recite that rhythm in your head as you are doing them. BANDS ARE A CRUTCH!!!
Update: I'll be running the Baltimre Half Marathon Saturday morning. I might do the entire race blindfolded and backwards--it won't be anything like the Wildlands Adventure.
Karyn A. and Kristin are doing the French Creek Fling this weekend (at least I think it's this weekend)...Go K & K!!!!!
I'm doing a tri-relay in Cape Henlopen, DE this Sunday (running leg). It pales a little in comparison to the fling and Sam's 1/2 mar., but heck, I could just sit on my a$$ eating bon bons too!
JU: please keep me posted on any/all developments. We won't be able to commit until late December after we see what May and June looks like. If we are clear, Kermit and I are there!
Steve, thanks for the correction to the "native american" run. I'm still in Budapest (hence posting at 3AM), but am ready to be home an CF it again. Good luck to all the competitors this weekend. Been trying to keep up with workouts over here but 12-14 work days make it hard. See everyone soon.
Karate: Torn ribs (big whoop); Life's a fight, yo! Which you would know had you been at the Movie instead of...well...fighting. When are you back at it????
Karate....No I will not deduct points for two arm usage, but I will deduct points for torn rib cartlidge if you try to use it at an excuse.......hehehehe
Donut or a Badass hike...I'll take the hike too, a donut for energy might not be a bad thing now and again!!!
I will keep you all posted on the details of the trip. It should be a great time and one helluva of an adventure!!

Oh, BTW, I built the Pyramids in a previous life.......................................!
And the Mayan Temples........
I'm looking to be a Referee at the Challenge to make sure folks do the events correctly. I plan on using a Taser to enforce policy.......

Did you build them by yourself or did you have help?
I have the canyon trip on my calendar...but only if we do the ascents "indian run"-style...I'd hate to see all this good CF training go to waste?

Where might the indian run meeting point for all CFers be at the hospital run Sunday am?

Good luck Sam in your 1/2...you'll do great!!!
James you silly boy, all by myself, of course!!

Good luck to all the racers, runners, bikers and bon-bon eaters out there!!
JU: Please tell Matt that I'll go as long as I don't have to drive all the way out there again. Donuts weren't worth it, but a big ass hike might be!
Livewrong: Please ask DJ if she was referring to the length of the hike or the width of the hikers' derrieres.
Tore cartilage between ribs last Tuesday night at BJJ workout.
Survived camp.
Matt: I believe the correct term is "native american" run.
Livewrong: Will you deduct pts for competitors that use two arms?
Everyone else: good luck with your competitions!
JD: thinking it could be fun to rent a VW bus and just take our time getting there?

("Native American"...are you kidding me?...see Livewrong, Sept 30, 2009, "Indigenous Peoples run, PHOOLS").
Cpt Awesome: Will you try Walkabouts over in the Eastern Hemisphere...do you go clockwise or counterclockwise?
